We are introduced to the orphans, Jack and Lucy-Ann Trent and their cockatoo, Kiki. Whilst on holiday, they befriend Philip Mannering and his sister, Dinah. Together they explore the uninhabited Island of Gloom, as a dangerous adventure awaits.
